Your Google Ads should be bringing in clients.

01 — Is this you?

  1. A

“We get clicks every day, but the phone doesn't ring.”

  2. B

“I looked at the search terms once. Half of them had nothing to do with us.”

  3. C

“Every ad sends people to our homepage, and they leave.”

  4. D

“Google says the ads converted. I can count three new clients.”

You're not paying for ads. You're paying for searches.

Google charges per click. If the wrong searches trigger your ad, or the right searcher lands on the wrong page, you pay full price for nothing. Fix which searches you buy and where they land, and the same budget brings in clients.

08 — FAQ

Google Ads questions, answered.

How much does Google Ads management cost?

You pay two things: your ad spend, paid straight to Google, and a management fee for the work. We quote the fee after a free call, based on how many services, areas and landing pages you need, so you know the full price before anything starts. Most plans begin with a three-month minimum.

Is Google Ads worth it for a small service business?

It is worth it when people already search for what you sell in your area and each new client is worth more than the cost of winning one. It is not worth it when the ads go to a page that doesn't convert or the tracking can't tell a client from a click. We check both first.

Google Ads or Facebook ads: which is better for my business?

Google is better when buyers search for your service, such as a plumber, an accountant or a clinic. Facebook and Instagram are better when they don't search yet, which is common for coaches and consultants. Many service businesses use Google for ready buyers and Meta to reach people earlier. How Meta ads work.

Why am I getting clicks but no calls?

Usually one of three things: the ad shows for searches that aren't buyers, the click lands on a page that doesn't answer the search, or calls aren't tracked so nobody can see what works. We check your search terms, your landing pages and your tracking, and fix the one costing you most.

Can my ads go to my homepage?

They can, but they usually convert worse. A homepage talks to everyone, while a person who searched one service wants a page about that service, with proof and one clear way to call or book. We send each ad group to its own page. Landing pages for ads.

How long before Google Ads bring in leads?

Ads can show as soon as Google approves them, so the first clicks come quickly. Knowing what works takes longer: the first weeks show which searches and pages turn into calls, and the budget then moves to those. That is why most plans run for at least three months.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

You do. Campaigns run in your own Google Ads account, with you as an administrator and us added as managers. If we ever stop working together, your account, its history and its data stay with you. Ask any agency this question before you sign, and get the answer in writing.

What are Local Services Ads, and do I need them?

Local Services Ads are Google ads for certain local trades, such as cleaning, plumbing, movers and HVAC, where you pay per lead instead of per click. They are only open to eligible categories. If yours qualifies, we can run them beside search ads, because they appear in a different spot on the page.

Do Google Ads work for coaches and consultants?

Yes, when people search for your niche and the problem you solve, such as "leadership coach for new managers". Search volume is often small, so the campaign stays tight and the landing page matters even more. Many coaches get more from Meta ads that send people to a scorecard first.
